Use this route when you want to keep Crossbow attacks as your main action and add Planet support around Giant Telescope. For the Deer, Bloodstone and Staff approach, use the linked Planet Staff guide instead.
This is a historical route adapted to the 1.0.25 weapon tree. The final Planet bag has not been reproduced on the current patch; use the placement example below as a planning aid, not an importable preset.
Choose the current endpoint
Take Colossal Crossbow into Reload Device. In the current tree, Crossbow: Twin and Acceleration Core occupy the same endpoint slot: choose Twin for movement-speed conversion and two projectiles, or Acceleration Core for an attack-speed ramp.
- Twin: movement-led sustained fire
- Acceleration Core: stationary ramping fire
- Do not plan around equipping both endpoints
Build the Planet layout
Giant Telescope’s enlargement area covers the eight surrounding cells, including diagonals; check the tooltip if your game uses a different layout. Keep the Planet pieces you want it to affect next to the Telescope; a distant Planet does not occupy one of those cells.
Start with the Telescope and the Planet pieces you have, then use the Combo thresholds below to choose the next useful addition. Leave room for survival and Crossbow support rather than filling every cell with a Planet.
Pickup order
Reload Device comes before specialized Planet pieces. Choose the endpoint next, then solve fire rate, critical stats and reload comfort. Add the Telescope package once enough of its layout is visible to justify the reserved space.
How to play it
Reload before a long damage window, maintain the edge of effective range and move during enemy patterns rather than during the best firing window. Twin rewards deliberate movement; Acceleration Core rewards holding a safe lane long enough for speed stacks to build.
When to pivot
Keep Reload Device as a conventional Crossbow foundation when the Planet layout misses. If both layout and ranged safety are poor, move to the Crown Shotgun route only when the close-range explosive package is already visible.
