Choose the endpoint
Both routes begin with Steel Greatsword and Hypersensitivity. Take Negligence when MP sustain and safe casting are already solved; take Loving Gaze when the bag offers critical damage and you prefer a more controlled Whirlwind cadence.
- Negligence: immediate charge and faster repetition
- Loving Gaze: Whirlwind critical chance and speed
- Do not buy both support packages before the endpoint appears
Pickup order
Secure Hypersensitivity first, then solve one constraint before adding damage: MP for Negligence or critical payoff for Loving Gaze. General Special Attack Damage is useful on either branch, while defensive pieces matter whenever charging leaves you exposed.
How to play it
Pull enemies into one lane, create a half-step of space and begin Whirlwind where the full arc can connect. Move immediately after the hit window. A fast loop is valuable only if the next cast does not empty MP or lock you inside an incoming attack.
Boss and room adjustments
Use full charges against packed rooms and predictable boss recovery windows. Against fast bosses, take shorter safe opportunities and keep a dash available. Loving Gaze is easier to stabilize when MP drops are poor; Negligence rewards rooms where repeated casts are genuinely safe.
When to pivot
If Hypersensitivity misses, move to another Greatsword branch. If Negligence appears without MP support, choose Loving Gaze or keep the tier-two weapon instead of forcing a loop that cannot be sustained.
